Merry Christmas, family,
So, I got transferred to Rocklyn 3rd ward. It's a cool place. My companion is Elder Myers. He is from Indiana and wants to be a country singer when he grows up.:) I am going to call on Christmas at 9 our time which is 10 your time. Hopefully that is enough time to get people there. Rocklyn is not flat like Roseville, it is all hill. We live at the top a of a massive hill. I am pretty much going to have thighs of Thor. My last sunday in Roseville was great. We had tons of investigators show up. When I said goodbye to all the members they all told me how much they liked having me in the ward. I almost wanted to cry; all is well. I get to start a new chapter in my mission and I am DL again.
Well I love you and the church is true.
Love,
Elder Hurst

Hello,

All is going well with me. The weather is like in the high 60s, then it rains, then it goes back up. But training is so awesome. I have learned so much about how to do missionary work. We are starting this thing with our members to get them more involved. We picked up a new investigator thak is excited to learn more. She lives right next to the church and has a really good friend in it. Sorry it is short. I have to get going because someone is on their way to pick us up. The church is true.
I Love you and pray for you.

Elder Hurst

Hey!
I thought you would like this seeing how it is Thanksgiving soon. I am so thankful to know of my Heavenly Father's love. I know that because he has given me such an amazing family that loves and cares about me. I am thankful to know of my Savior Jesus Christ. I am thankful to share the love He has shown me with the people here.

I love you. You are all so amazing.

Love,
Elder Jared Hurst

I AM THANKFUL: FOR THE WIFE WHO SAYS IT'S HOT DOGS TONIGHT. BECAUSE SHE IS HOME WITH ME, AND NOT OUT WITH SOMEONE ELSE.

FOR THE HUSBAND WHO IS ON THE SOFA BEING A COUCH POTATO, BECAUSE HE IS HOME WITH ME AND NOT OUT AT THE BARS.

FOR THE TEENAGER WHO IS COMPLAINING ABOUT DOING DISHES BECAUSE IT MEANS SHE IS AT HOME, NOT ON THE STREETS.

FOR THE TAXES I PAY BECAUSE IT MEANS I AM EMPLOYED .

FOR THE MESS TO CLEAN AFTER A PARTY BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE BEEN SURROUNDED BY FRIENDS.

FOR THE CLOTHES THAT FIT A LITTLE TOO SNUG BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE ENOUGH TO EAT.

FOR MY SHADOW THAT WATCHES ME WORK BECAUSE IT MEANS I AM OUT IN THE SUNSHINE.

FOR A LAWN THAT NEEDS MOWING, WINDOWS THAT NEED CLEANING, AND GUTTERS THAT NEED FIXING BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE A HOME .

FOR ALL THE COMPLAINING I HEAR ABOUT THE GOVERNMENT BECAUSE IT MEANS WE HAVE FREEDOM OF SPEECH.

FOR THE PARKING SPOT I FIND AT THE FAR END OF THE PARKING LOT BECAUSE IT MEANS I AM CAPABLE OF WALKING AND I HAVE BEEN BLESSED WITH TRANSPORTATION .

FOR MY HUGE HEATING BILL BECAUSE IT MEANS I AM WARM.

FOR THE LADY BEHIND ME IN CHURCH WHO SINGS OFF KEY BECAUSE IT MEANS I CAN HEAR.

FOR THE PILE OF LAUNDRY AND IRONING BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE CLOTHES TO WEAR.

FOR WEARINESS AND ACHING MUSCLES AT THE END OF THE DAY BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE BEEN CAPABLE OF WORKING HARD.

FOR THE ALARM THAT GOES OFF IN THE EARLY MORNING HOURS BECAUSE IT MEANS I AM ALIVE.

AND FINALLY, FOR TOO MUCH E-MAIL BECAUSE IT MEANS I HAVE FRIENDS WHO ARE THINKING OF ME.

Tuesday November 30, 2010

Oh man, I actually miss snow. It's cold here, like 30 to 50 degrees. My face gets frozen when we bike. It's not too bad, even when its raining, we just try to get a ride to the places we need to go.
Thanksgiving was really great. We played football for like 4 1/2 hours then ate dinner with the bishop. We played farkle and nerts then went and ate with 2 recent converts (twins). They are the only members in their family so it was good to play games (like Spaz, Pass the Ace, and Spoons) and build friendships with the family. We are going to try and start teaching the family. This gospel really is great and I am glad that I have been born into it, to have a family that is so great. I love you.

Love,
Elder Hurst

ps. I may or may not have cracked the screen on my camera. So for christmas, if it's not too much, I may need a new camera. :) I love you.

Monday November 15, 2010

Well, I am not District Leader any more and now that Elder Garrison flew home my mission president decided to make my a trainer. My greeny's name is Elder Thompson from Murry, Utah. He is an awesome missionary. He has some great ideas and he is a great teacher. It's going to be a really good transfer.
We had a lesson with our recent convert Brett Spaid, who is so awesome and so on fire with the gospel. We talked about the plan of salvation and what he believed before the church was in his life. He shared that he didn't really know any thing about where we came from and the answers the other churches gave him didn't make much sense. But when he learned about the whole thing, it felt like home. Elder Malm is coming on Tuesday to train us, and we almost got to teach one of our investigators with him. We also picked up a new investigator. His name is Fernando and we are going back to teach him, his mom and his sister tonight. We also have a 15 year old kid who wants to be baptized. His mom is a recently reactivated member, and he just started coming with her and now he wants to be baptized. Sweet!
I am sorry I don't write very much, I am no good at this whole emailing thing. Well, let's face it, I am no good at any thing that has to do with English` its unpossible for my to be doing it wright. :) So I don't. The church is still true. And I love you.

Love,
Elder Hurst

Monday November 1, 2010

Hello,
It sounds like Halloween was a blast. I'm glad to hear that everyone is doing good. Life after a mission seems so complicated and hectic. I'm glad I am here. Those costumes look great. I think that Patrick's and Lee's are my favorite, but Brian's and Bethany's were pretty good.
Well, the Byes are the family that were getting baptized on the 20th. It's prolly going to actually be after Thanksgiving but no biggy. They still are excited to be a part of the church, they just have a few things to work out. We had a sweet lesson with Robyn Tucker and a new fellow-shipping family. The Spirit was there and we were able to be bold and straight up that if she didn't read and didn't come to church she will never know. She still didn't make it to church but we will keep trying.
I almost kind of had my first crash on my bike. I was going about 1/2 of a mph and I turned a little and my bike tipped over. Since I stayed on my feet I don't count it as a crash, but my companion does. The Halloween party was pretty fun. There were a ton of awesome costumes, we went as Elders. (I know, crazy.) Anyway, they had some games and treats for the kids. They also had a baseball throw that tells you how fast you can throw it. My high was only 54, but the high of the night was only 67 so I didn't do too bad. We went tracting on Saturday. It was useless. Everyone was watching the baseball game. My companion would make some funny comment about what the home owner said just before they closed the door. Well, all is well and my companion goes home next Tuesday. I love you and hope all is well.

Elder Jared Hurst

ps. I thought Patrick was a cow and is Derrick's birthday on Halloween?

Monday October 25, 2010

Hello,

Thank you for the packages. They are great. We are having a Halloween trunker treat party on Friday. We are going to see if we can take people on chapel tours during it. I went on three exchanges this week and had a way sweet experience in district meeting. The focus of the meeting was "teach people not lessons." Basically stop and listen to the spirit on what to say. During the practice teaching part of it I could totally tell when what was being said was directed from the spirit and when the teacher was just teaching by his own knowledge. Ever since that district meeting I have been making an effort to listen to the spirit during lessons. I've got to say, it is a whole lot easier in practice teaching than in real teaching. I have still had some really great experiences. We had a lesson where we learned tons about where our investigator is at. She really opened up and shared how she was feeling. Then we had a member invite their friend to hear the gospel, so we went over and talked to her and her husband. It all started with a Sentsy candle party. They are both way excited to be part of the church and to follow Christ example. They want to be baptized on November 20th. They came to all three hours of church and we have another lesson with them today. They are so ready for the gospel. God has really prepared them. Well, I've got to get going but I love you and hope all is well.

Love,
Elder Hurst.

Hi,
How is it going? The weather has been funny. First it was just hot then it cooled to like low 80s high 70s then it got hot again just as the APs announced suit coat season( we have to wear suit coats all the time now.) But then it started raining and its like 60 to 70 degrees. Oh, hey! Guess what? I got made DL ;). Being DL is ok. It means I get to go on exchanges, which are always fun. Well, things are going good. We just started teaching this single mother who is a member that hasn't been to church since she was a teenager. Her son is 15 and not a member. They both came to church this week. It was totally wicked in a non-evil, very righteous way. We also had a re-baptism on Saturday. She has been away from the gospel for so long. It was sweet to see her change and come back. I am so grateful to be a part of it and witness her change of heart. I'm so glad to be on a mission. It is such a wonderful opportunity and a blessing. I know that this church is true and that this is the gospel of Jesus Christ.
I love you and pray all goes well.

Elder Jared Hurst

Monday October 4, 2010

The biggest thing for me in conference was "Don't Ever Leave Him". I have recently been thinking and talking to the other missionaries about that. I have made covenants that I will never break. It's way sad to see people who have had this light and this happiness, and have turned from it. Even more so when they have gone on a mission and through the temple and they don't stay with it. I have come to realize that it's reading the Book of Mormon/praying everyday and going to church every week with a sincere heart. It will be much easier to make the right decision and not take a "detour". I love the Lord and I know this is His church because I know the Book of Mormon is true.
I have been in Roseville 6th ward for 4 and1/2 months and transfers was last week so I will be here for at least 6 months. My companions name is Elder Garrison I have been with him for the past 3 months and I will stay with him until he dies. He is great and I love him; he can be a bit of an odd duck some times. But when he bears his testimony and teaches the gospel the other things don't matter.Well I love you guys.

Elder Jared Hurst

Monday September 20, 2010

Hi,
Things are going good, though nothing big really happened this week. We had a pinewood derby race. We made our cars last p-day and helped our investigator make one too. I didn't win but I beat my comps so that was cool. My car got 3 different nick names: the Jetson's racer, the flash Gordon, and the fish (because it had a fin and it was wobbly when it went down the track. It looked like a fish swimming.)
Oh, we also got Robyn Tucker to pray with us which is a huge accomplishment. The lesson we had with her was all about receiving revelation, especially through prayer. The Spirit was almost tangible. She and her husband( a less active member) could feel it. I asked if they wanted it all the time. They told me yes but, she is so timid and shy that it would bring her out of her comfort zone and she is really struggling with it.
After that lesson and exchanges with the DL and district meeting the day before, I have had this new confidence arise in me that it doesn't matter what "they" say if they are offended its their own fault.
Well, if you want to send a package, that would be great.I could use a couple more white shirts, short sleeve. And if you are feeling really generous you could send some brown pants, not too dark but not too light. Ties are always welcome ( some light blue and or cool lavender-ish ones would be ok.)
Well, I've got to go soon so I will say this, The Church is true. This is the gospel of Jesus Christ. He lives! He loves each and everone of us. When I was readindg in 3 Nephi 11 today, He states it so clearly. This is what the world needs to hear.
I love you all so much and can't wait to hear from you.
Love,

Elder Jared Hurst

Monday September 13, 2010

Hey everybody,
I just wanted you to know that I love you and I am doing great. It's just another week but I feel like I am learning a lot about conversion. It's really enlightening to have a baptism and reflect on it. It's great to see what it takes to actually have the change of heart. It isn't me doing any of it; it's all the Holy Ghost. In our district meetings we are getting training on the new curriculum that they are teaching in the MTC. It's all about helping our investigators receive their own revelation. Well, I love you guys but I don't have a lot of time so the church is true. I love you.

Tuesday September 7, 2010

Hi,
So the elder is named Elder Talaipa and he is in my district. He is a great elder. I love having him around. So the baptism went so great. Brett is awesome. His brother-in-law preformed the ordanince. On Sunday Brett bore his testimony. He just seems like he has been a member all of his life. I wasn't feeling good Friday, Saturday, and Sunday but I had all these great things come up that lifted me up. Then on Monday we got to go to the temple. It's a small temple but it is so beautiful. I hadn't been to the temple in like 6 months. Going back was the greatest thing ever. I know that the temple is the house of the Lord. The Spirit is so strong that there is no way to argue it. I love the gospel and the happeness it brings in this life and the hope of eternal life after death. I love you and the family. I hope all goes well with grandma. My prayers are with her.

Love,

Elder Jared Hurst.

Letter: Beginning of August 2010

I direct mine epistle to Mary the mother of mine house or the household of the Hurst, and all those of the household of Hurst. I have somewhat to say about my dealing with the people of the Roseville 6th ward. Behold, I also have somewhat to say about a servant of the Lord who has been faithful. This man's name is Elder Garrison.
First, I have an exceedingly great desire to wish thee HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I sorrow in it's lateness. For behold, I fear my slothfulness in writing because of my weakness in writing will bring thee sorrow. I wish to be a source of happiness to thy soul. Now, I return unto the account of the Brother of Jared. (Elder Garrisons name is Jared also, so it works both ways!) We have given ourselves to fasting and praying as a zone. The zone has reaped many souls. Those who have been chosen by the president to govern and manage the affairs of this work in this part of the land (zone leaders) have been mighty in giving us instruction of the ways of the Lord. They have taught us, yea, we have been given power to testify and challenge.
Yea, my soul weepeth for my weakness in following up with Tiffany. For behold, the devil hath a hold upon her because I failed. She hath turned away and is now traveling to the great and abominable church. Yet, hope maybe she hath not gone all the way for she stayed her hand from Bayside. (a church here that the missionaries call "the great and spacious building". It's massive and it has rock concerts for part of the worship. It also has anti-mormon classes. Not to mention it's huge. It has a Starbucks in it and everything!)
We hath found many new investigators in our times of strife. Amongst this people. But, behold, my joy will be full with just one soul. Brett Spaid. My soul delighteth in his faithfulness. He hath been told he must come to church in order to be received into the waters of baptism. Thus, he was about to journey by foot carrying his son if he had no other way.
Ok, I'm done writing like that. So Brett Spaid is awesome. As long as his interview with the President this Tuesday goes well, then he will be baptized. This has been a good week. Our zone is the guinea pig zone. We are the first to not count new non-member contacts or oyms. And we had a great week. We have had more anti thrown at us this week than any other week. But a testimony isn't a testimony until it is tested. I have had my testimony strengthened by all the anti.
This week is transfer week. My comp and I are staying. Our DL is leaving and x-AP Hansen, the elder that picked me up at the airport, is going to live with us and be our DL. YAY! Well, that's about it. I love you and thanks for all the prayers and packages.

Love,
Elder Hurst.

Monday August 30, 2010

Hi people. Not high people. It's more like, "greetings people". Any how, this week is going to be great. Brett Spaid is going to get baptized this Saturday!!!!!!!!!! yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa-hooooooooooooo!!!! At first in my mission I didn't want to focus on baptisms because I thought people would see that as we just want more people in to our church. I just didn't understand what baptism really is. Though part of it is coming into the church, what it really is is the gateway into the Celestial Kingdom. It is the ONLY way back to God. This is what we are offering-Eternal Life-and everyone needs it. It is essential.
Well, I love my mission. The Elders I am with are so amazing. I am growing tons. My confidence is growing too. I love you guys and I liked the postcard too. I hope all is well. Keep me updated on every thing. Tell Dan hi and that I love him. Well good bye and keep up the Lord's work.
Love Elder Jared Hurst

Hey
It's so good to hear that you are having awesome experiences with the YM and YW program. I loved it too. We had so many great times and they were usually spiritual. I honestly don't think i would be on my mission if I hadn't had the mutual in my life. Tell everyone hi for me.
This Saturday we have my first real baptism. Brett Spaid is going to get baptized at 2:30. I'm so excited I just can't hide it . We have a couple more for the end of September too. I love this church and the Book of Mormon and they are so true. One of the Elders put it just right, "Mormonism is Christianity magnified." He also said, "I am Mormon through and through and I love it!" His name is Elder Hansen and he is one of my roommates. He goes home at the end of September, but he has had an awesome mission he was AP and every thing.

Love ya
Love,

Elder Jared Hurst.

Monday August 23, 2010

Hey,
We met a lot of less actives that say, "well I know its true I just don't like a bishop or the way someone looked at me". Its so sad that people let others get in their way of salvation. I guess that its they aren't willing to do what is necessary, that's what it comes down to.That is why its so cool to see some one who is willing to do it. They are reading and praying about the book of Mormon, because they want the happiness that only comes with the book of Mormon/ the gospel of Jesus Christ.
We are working with this guy and he has a date that is set for the 4th of September. He is amazing. He wants the church to be true and so he is looking for an answer as he reads. Today he shared that at first he wanted to get baptized because all his friends and his girlfriend were. Then on the morning of his wedding (last Friday) he said he was praying and was filled with the spirit so strongly that he cried, for the first time during a prayer he cried. The rest of the day he was just glowing, and he knew he was doing the right thing. It was no longer about everyone else but him and his heavenly Father. the church is true!
I love ya
Love Elder Jared Hurst
ps. We have like 5 new investigators this week. We are committing everyone to baptism. They aren't saying yes but the aren't saying no. Plus, they are telling us what they are facing that is keeping them away so we can face it head on. I know the church is true and that the Book of Mormon is really an ancient record of the inhabitants of the Americas. It truly does testify of Christ and teach us how we can return to our Heavenly Father.

Tuesday August 17, 2010

I got the package and I actually have a letter to send you. It took me forever to write. I wish I were a better letter doer. I wore the yellow tie, it was awesome. I don't really have tons to say because most of it is in the letter. Life is as good as ever except the Skordas family, the ones that have us over for root beer floats and stuff, is leaving. They got jobs in Loftland, Nevada. It's sad to see them go.
Tell dad Hi and I love him and that I am doing great. Time is flying by. It's going way too fast. I love it here and don't want to go. My comp goes home in the beginning of October so he is kind of trunky, but not lazy. He just thinks about home too much. Its ok, I will break him of that.
Thanks for everything in the package I think I needed that.
I love you mom and dad......and family ;)
Love Elder Jared Hurst (I put Jared because Jake is going to be Elder Hurst too.)

Hi
Everything is going awesome. I am learning tons out here. Unfortunately, it's mostly from mistakes. The only thing that's not going so well is that one of our investigators is like disappearing. She started going to church with her grandma at some born again church and won't set up a time to meet. It's very sad. The gospel brings so much joy and peace. It can help us through anything. I want her to have this. She is a mother of 2, lives with her boyfriend, and there is no way she is older than 23. The gospel would bless her so much and I know that having the church would help her tons too.
I love having dinner with members every night because we get to hear their testimony as we talk about the doctrine and as they make plans to share it with others. We get to know the members well and they become family to us. I love it! Most of the topics that are brought up by members are things on the news (that we don't know about because we cant watch it). But right now they all talk about the prop 8 thing going on. It's terrible to see the world fall into such sad things-not only homosexual things but co-habitating. Like 99.9% of the young people we talk to are living together without getting married. That is why we are out here. It's to help them come to Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel. It makes all the difference.
I love you guys and I hope that this weekend is fun. I miss camping but I can do it later when I get home.

Monday August 9, 2010

Hi,
Yes, when I say with a date I mean a baptism date. He works for Sacramento I think. He seems to like being a police officer a lot. I think he fells like he is giving back. He is working in the area he grew up in and he is tring to keep it safe for the kids there now. We got two new investigators this week and set a date with one of them but then on Sunday no one came That was kind of the story of the week we had like 8 lessons cancel on us. It made me realize even more how much I am not in control of basically any thing but my attitude. Elder Been put up a poster in our apartment that says "attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference." And it has a picture of a chihuahua dressed funny. I can choose to look at it all grumpy or I can say I just need to work harder and if they still reject it, it's not me they are rejecting but Christ.

By the time you read this or at least respond to it the wedding will be over. So I am just going to ask now how it went and what was the look on Brian's face when he saw her in the temple? Anyway they are getting married on my 6 month mark crazy.
Well, I love you and I am way happy for them.
Love,
Elder Jared Hurst

Monday August 2, 2010

Hi,

This was an awesome Sunday. We had three investigators to church and they all loved it. We had one more show up but they came to tell us that they weren't going to stay the were going to the Kingdom Hall. gggggggggggggggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr She will come around. She will realize that the spirit is stronger when we are around the when the JW'S are there. We also had some really good lessons this week and our investigator with a alcohol and a coffee problem is quitting. Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Today was awesome. We went to KFC and they were way nice-they took an expired coupon and gave us a free drink. So all is well.
I love you and hope all the wedding stuff is going good. I got the invitation. Am I supposed to write her parents or something?
Anyway I love you.

Hi,
Elder Garrison is a good kid. He is from a family of 8 as well but he is 6th not 5th. He is like way into supper hero's and cartoons. He is also kind of a movie buff. He plays sports with us on p-days but you can kind of tell he hasn't played them tons. He is kind of uncomfortable looking and a little uncoordinated but he tries really hard, and he is actually pretty good at them. Its sounds like you are having a fun summer. I am glad Lee's birthday party was fun HAPPY BIRTHDAY LEE.
I am actually getting acclimated to the heat. It's not to bad now even when it is 105 degrees. It cools down at night which is great. I think I like the cold more than the heat but I am kind of turning into a California wimp. Well I love you and hope work goes well.

Love,

Elder Hurst

Hey mom,
I'm sorry I haven't written you much. I am a terrible son. It's just that I hate writing. I never know what to say or how to say it, plus it takes me forever. I hope that my emails at least help. I have some pics I am going to send to you. I'm sorry this is late, but if you haven't sent the package yet you could put in a few more ties some music like Mindy Galdhil (I don't know the spelling) or efy music or mo-tab. I liked the job in the summer that I had it. I feel it was a good opportunity for me to learn how to really clean. I think you would be surprised on how many missionaries don't know how to clean. So I think it was a good job to have.

The work is going good and the members are taking way good care of us. The Skordas family are awesome they joined the church like a year ago and just got sealed. They are always inviting us over for root beer floats or for lunch. Whenever they go to the store the ask if we need any thing. Last Sunday they made us waffles with strawberries and whipped cream. There are also like 4 other families we can call if we don't have a dinner or if we need anything. We are in a great area.
Anyway, I think Erin would like the job. I don't really know anyone working there any more sorry. Well, I love you and miss you.

Monday July 19, 2010

I think I got the pictures. They were the ones of the new bike right ? That's cool that Jake's going back out. I was worried he wouldn't go. Any who- the work is going great. My companion is Elder Garrison from Bethel Connecticut. He has been out for 20 almost 21 months. He is a really nice guy, but a little sensitive sometimes. He has gained like 60 pounds on his mission but he is a really good teacher and he is bold. We got 3 awesome new investigators and 3 new baptism dates. It is great to work with someone that is ready to work again.
One of the investigators is a guy named Brett Spade. He is a world champion kick boxer and as a wrestler. He was on the USA team. Now he is a police officer. Elder Bean wants an action figure of him. Our other investigators with dates are the little family. The mom has no religious background but the kids all want to go to church really bad. When they first started taking the lessons they thought we were jw's but we explained who we were and taught them about Jesus Christ and the wanted to be baptized like Him.
We held our ice cream social on Saturday and none of our investigators showed. Oh well it was cool anyway. Brian Rhodes was there. He lives in the Roseville 5th ward. He is an LDS artist and has some songs on EFY CDs. He is amazing.

Lee, happy birthday on Friday! You are turning 9 right? Oh that's so old-like your going to be a grandpa. Hahaha just kidding. That's awesome you can advance in cub scouts now right. Well I hope you have awesome birthday. Love ya.

I love you guys

I knew it was coming I was just telling my companion that you would prolly get married while I was gone. Jerk. No I'm just kidding. That is so awesome. I am so happy for you. You are going to have to tell me more about how you asked and every thing like that. Oh, that's so cool. I just can't believe it- you actually did it. I thought you would just chicken out. Just kidding you are great. I am so glad and can't wait to hear more. Bethany is awesome.
Oh the last picture is my best (as Cami would say).

So Elder Marrott left me to go be ZL in Anderson and my new comp just came today. He is Elder Garrison from the East coast some where. I cant remember but I will let you know next week but, he is going home in November. He is a great missionary. A lot is going to get done. I am excited.
I love you all and I am why excited for B&B.

Hey

How is everyone doing? Any thing exciting happen? From your letters it sounds like all is well. Not too much is happening here. We went to Denios again, which is basically a massive garage sale. We set up a both and tried to teach people there. We got one lesson and talked to over 330 people. A lot of them took DVDs and pamphlets so i guess that's good but it kind of felt like a wast of time. Our investigator may be moving her baptism date up from September to July, SWEEEEEET!!! Transfers are next week and i am pretty sure my companion is going to leave me. So I am going to have somebody new and have to adapt all over again but... that's OK change is good. My companion has been here for 9 months so its time for him to leave and maybe that will put the fire back in him.
We seem to be slowing down. It's hard to be obedient when no one in the apartment is. We can't seem to get to bed on time which makes it hard to get up on time and then to exercise, and that makes it so I am tired. I have made a new resolution to be more obedient and it's been going better, but it's hard. Well, I will do better. I will let you know how I am doing in my next email. i love you guys and hope you all have an excellent week.

Love,
Elder Hurst
